Monster Cookies
These cookies are a classic blend of oats, chocolate chips, peanut butter, and colorful chocolate m&ms. They’re known as “monster” cookies because they’re big, bold, and loaded with mix-ins that make every bite deliciously unique.
My recipe is soft soft and chewy AND can be made into a smaller batch or smaller cookie easily! I like to make regular two tbsp sized cookies for friends and family who just want a little sweet treat with all of those classic monster cookie flavors
(you can even use holiday colored m&ms and they make the perfect party cookie)
How To:
You start by creaming your butters and sugars together until noticeably lighter in color, should be about 1-2 minutes, making sure to scrape down the sides of your bowl
Then add in your eggs, vanilla, salt, and baking soda and beat again until combined
Switch to a spatula and start mixing in the flour and oats. Once you are 90% combined and there are still a few pockets of unincorporated flour, add in your chocolate chips and M&Ms (or other mix-ins) and finish combining all ingredients together.
Scoop dough into balls (a classic monster cookie is about 1/4 cup of dough but a more reasonable-sized cookie is 2-3 tbsp) and place onto parchment-lined cookie sheets. I like to place extra M&Ms on top to make them look extra cute but this isn’t necessary.
Cooking times will vary based on size but for a 2-3 tbsp cookie, 350-degree oven for 9-10 minutes or until the sizes are slightly golden but do not overbake. And for a larger cookie 13-14 minutes or until slightly golden. Let cool on pan for 5 minutes and then remove and transfer to a cooling rack.
