Date Caramel

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pitted Medjool Dates (about 10-12)
  • 2 tbsp milk plant-based or dairy
  • 1 dash salt

Instructions

  • Soak pitted dates in 1½ cups of boiling water for 20 minutes
  • Drain water from dates and place dates into blender with milk and salt.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, add more milk if you want it to be looser
  • Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for 2-3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months (I store mine in an old jam jar)
